What to expect
|
If you book Brian, you will be sent a package including:
A hardcover copy of Last in Line by Brian Cretney
A confirmation letter specifying date, place and time
A poster so the students can anticipate this literacy event and get a sense of who ís coming
Teacher's Resource Book containing everything you need (and more) for
our visit: a school newsletter to send home to parents outlining
our event, suggested timeline for
the few weeks leading up to the event, and almost 60 book-related,
curriculum-based activities ranging from K-6 to make lesson planning easier.
A note and pre-order form which can be sent home with the students. Books ordered before the event will be signed prior to the visit to ensure the most efficient use of time while Brian is at your school. Using the form provided, you can fax in the list of children who have pre-ordered books (905-682-3893). Brian will personally distribute the books to the children at the school so that he gets to connect with them one-on-one.
Tips:
For both options, the ideal setting for a reading is in the library.
Nametags on the kids are a big help!
